Korsairs are a young four-piece guitar band from Manchester made up of two brothers, Alfie and Joe Prior and two sisters, Abbie and Ellie Bescoby.

The band's authentic sound was born busking on the streets of Manchester, grew when Joe joined forces with classmate/drummer Abbie and fine tuned when siblings, Alfie and Ellie came into the mix.

With catchy tunes and neat lyrical melodies, the Korsairs take a little Jake Bugg, a little Frank Turner and a dash of the Arctic Monkeys thrown in for good measure.

A collection of 7 songs, Stranger is a musical introduction into the world of Leo Kalyan. It is a flirtatious insight in to his influences, sounds, textures and unbounded capabilities as a producer, vocalist and songwriter.

Seamlessly blending notable covers, including his effortlessly infectious take on Charlie XCX’s Boom Clap with original songs Full Circle and title track, Stranger his debut mixtape is an assertive statement of things to come.

Also worth checking out is the ambitious reworking of Arctic Monkeys, Why'd You Only Call Me When Your're High?, linked below.

Friends and favourites of LUM, Heed The Thunder hail from deepest Herefordshire. A four piece band (with multiple additional collaborators), led by singer and lyricist Alex Gordon, they dub their style, ruralcore; a mix of skiffle, Americana and traditional English Folk music.

Latest album Cokaigne has rich, vibrant multiple layers and showcases the bands deep chemistry and musical talents. Included below is Precious One from the debut album. I challenge you to get this one out of your head anytime soon.

Waxahatchee, the solo musical project of Katie Crutchfield, is named after a creek not far from her childhood home in Alabama and seems to represent both where she came from and where she’s going.

Under a Rock, the debut single from upcoming album Ivy Trip is a quicker guitar-driven song that lays the foundation for the rest of the album. Crutchfield’s voice is the guiding force, gripping you tightly and then softly releasing you into the wilds of emotion.

Radkey is a punk band from St. Joseph, Missouri made up of three brothers. There sound is fresh and there energy is infectious. They've been making big waves in the states following appearances at SXSW and Afropunk and are now looking to do the same thing over here.

They're on at The Night and Day on the 6 March and if you're available, we strongly advise you get down there; this is one of the most exciting rock acts we've seen in a long time.
