Part of an exciting pack of new acts emerging on the South Yorkshire scene, Clay Garden give us a snippet of what might be to come as they continue to evolve and find their niche. With a constantly changing and developing sound, the band have been known to remove material from their Soundcloud page as there new output eclipses the old, and they get better and better at what they do.

One track, ‘Disguise Me’ has been left standing on the Soundcloud page and, if it’s a sneak preview of what else is to come, these lads could seriously be ones to watch over the next few months.

Disguise Me starts with an urgent, infectious lead riff which develops quickly into a pulsating, swirling mix of bass and rhythm guitars. Singer Tom Hale's vocal is bold, confident and full of attitude, completely belying his 16 years of age.

There’s a Tom Morrello like quality to that lead riff and it kicks back in again to take the track to the chorus, and Hale’s call of ‘Disguise me’. It’s a well-polished track and that’s none more apparent than on the standout distorted, psychedelic guitar work in the final act.

This is a tantalising teaser of a confident young band who aren’t afraid to push themselves to get better.  Keep your eyes peeled for more content on the bands Soundcloud page but, in the meantime, click the link below and get down to one of their upcoming shows.
